Historical Event on 9/20/1856
Narayan Guru was born in Chempazhanthi village of Kerala. Sri Narayan Guru was a social reformer, led reform movement in Kerala, rejected casteism, and promoted new values of spiritual freedom and social equality. He also stressed the need for the spiritual and social uplift of the downtrodden by their own efforts through the establishment of temples and educational institutions. In the process, he denounced the superstitions that clouded the fundamental Hindu cultural convention of caste.

7/10/1992	SROSS-C placed in orbit. Indian National Satellite (INSAT-2A), first indigenously-built satellite of second-generation INSAT series launched from Kourore. This is more operational multi-purpose communication and enhanced meteorology satellite. It is still in service.
6/17/2000	Danial Latifi (83), well known jurist and senior Supreme Court advocate, died of cancer in New Delhi.
11/25/1977	John Lobo became the Director of Central Bureau of Investigation (till 30/06/79).
11/25/1977	Saint Namdev passed away.
