3/28/1954 | The flight undertook its first VVIP commitment, when it carried the first Prime Minister of India, the Late Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, from Palam to Tilpat range and back to witness the 'Fire Power Demo'. 2/1/1942 | 17 Indian Division's were withdrawn over vast stretches and the British evacuation in Burma was the longest in British military history. The Division was to subsequently extract terrible retribution from the Japanese Army during World War II and to destabilise the Indian Economy with forged notes of 5, 10 and 100 Rupees. |
